Reduction in symptoms with psychosocial care on average
Cancer care is never only medical. Alongside diagnosis and treatment, people and whānau often face fear, grief, uncertainty, relationship strain, financial pressure, and long-term adjustment - all while navigating complex services and big decisions. The psychosocial load can be significant even when clinical care is excellent.
Psychosocial oncology exists to make that part of care visible, supported, and integrated. When psychosocial needs aren’t identified early and addressed consistently, distress can escalate and outcomes can suffer. Your support helps strengthen the workforce capability and shared resources that make good psychosocial care more reliable across Aotearoa.
Thank you for your generosity. No matter how much you donate, your support will help us to keep doing what we do making changes in Aotearoa.
