Psychosocial Oncology New Zealand first began as a special interest group to promote the social, spiritual, psychological, and physical needs of cancer patients and their whānau. Today PONZ is the national transdisciplinary body supporting professionals, researchers, and students involved in the field of health care delivery for people affected by cancer in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Via our social media platforms, webinars, regional meetings, and national conferences PONZ provides information, collegial networks, educational opportunities, resources links, and funding support to any health professional, researcher, or student with an interest in psychosocial oncology throughout New Zealand.
Like many organisations worldwide, COVID-19 has affected PONZ's ability to deliver our aims, but as we adjust to a post-Covid world we are back in business and look forward to a range of upcoming events.
Follow our social media for updates in research and practice, as well as links to useful resources and educational opportunities. Become a member and join us for regular webinars that focus on a wider range of psychosocial topics relevant to oncology healthcare delivered by researchers and practitioners in the field, as well as accessing discounted conference rates.
We warmly invite all health professionals, researchers and with an interest in psychosocial-oncology to join us.
